Title of Position: Editor

We are seeking a skilled Editor to join our exciting Research and Content Department as
part of our growing full-service health education agency.

The ideal candidate must have:

• Excellent editing and proofreading skills
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• 3-5 years’ experience in a medical communications agency
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up
• Experience in managing multiple priorities
• Ability to take direction

Job Requirements:

• BA/BS degree in a scientific field or English
• Proficient with AMA editorial style and medical terminology
• Possible participation in pharmaceutical medical, legal, and regulatory committee reviews
• Work in our Flemington, NJ office as part of the Research and Content team

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Copy editing manuscript drafts for correct grammar, syntax, sentence structure, and consistency
• Applying AHE or client style requirements or following AMA style as appropriate
• Proofreading first layouts against final approved manuscript copy; checking changes to revised versions
  through printer proofs
• Fact checking materials against source copy
• Researching using Web portals and primary source documents
• Interacting with other departments to contribute to concept development, proof review, and quality assurance
